    Welcome to the Virtual Learning Academy at Lewisville Independent School District. We are pleased you are here and invite you to take a look around as you consider new options for learning. With so many possibilities to choose from for your learning path, this is an amazing time to be a student and VLA is sure to have something just for you.

    We provide fully online courses to students in Lewisville ISD as well as to students across Texas through the Texas Virtual Schools Network (TXVSN). Our courses are all taught by teachers certified in Texas in their subject as well as highly trained in methods of online teaching. We have a wide range of core subject area courses as well as electives providing you with many options for your next learning adventure. You can pick and choose your courses so that you have a blend of classes taken on your home campus mixed with online classes. Scheduling this way allows you to free up your schedule for other classes or activities such as arts, sports, or even a job. You can even use our courses to accelerate your learning, allowing you to take additional classes each term to help you meet personal goals such as early graduation.

    Our courses are high touch allowing you easy access to your teachers. We value building relationships with our students. Therefore, you will have many opportunities to connect with your teachers individually as well as in small groups. All of our courses meet NCAA eligibility requirements.
