Hi! My name is Monica MeGown and this is my 17th year to teach at McAuliffe. I taught first grade for 3 years and now starting my 14th year in 2nd grade. I LOVE this age and very passionate about my students and seeing their success. One interesting fact about me is that I was a 2nd grade student at McAuliffe Elementary when the school opened, 34 years ago! I can honestly say that McAuliffe is the very best elementary school around. My husband is the PE teacher at Degan Elementary, also in LISD.  We have 2 children. Myla is 12, and a 7th grader at Briarhill, and Noah is 10 and in 4th grade here at McAuliffe this year! I look forward to getting to know each one of you.
