Whether you are looking for the perfect home for your child or you have been in the Highland Village community for years, we hope McAuliffe will be that special place just for your family.

We are a relatively small school - approximately 500 students. We have a veteran staff who works diligently to provide our learners with the best elementary experience we can. Our commitment to you is to provide your learner with a safe and secure environment. Taking appropriate measures to ensure safety is vital. Supporting our learners in an environment in which they feel secure - loved and protected, is also paramount. Beyond safety and security, we believe that children should love school. If they are happy and excited about learning, they will learn more and be more successful. We teach children to work hard and play hard and that when you make good choices, good things happen! These foundations make McAuliffe a special place.

Family is very important at McAuliffe. As a part of Highland Village, we believe strongly in community. We work collaboratively with parents, our school neighbors, HV Police, HV Fire Dept., our city leaders and other HV organizations and municipalities. Our goal is to seamlessly integrate community and education, so our learners develop a deep understanding not only of their roles within the community but also the roles of others! 

We also work closely with the LISD administration. Excellent curriculum specialists and other support staff are integral members of our learning organization. We continue to work on implementing LISD's Cornerstones: Student Learning, Resource Stewardship, Student Experience, and Community Engagement. If you have any questions regarding our efforts or anything about our little school, we would love to visit with you.
