Dear Lillie Parents:
It is an honor and privilege to serve your family as Principal of Lillie J. Jackson Early Childhood Center. We have a very exciting journey and adventure in front of us as we begin school year. At Lillie it is our mission to implement a learning organization that ensures that all of our students are nurtured emotionally, socially, behaviorally, and academically. Through a collaborative culture our staff works closely together to provide innovative learning opportunities through purposeful play and structured learning. Play is extremely important at Lillie in helping our students develop a strong sense of self and imagination for problem solving.
“Almost all creativity involves purposeful play” -Abraham Maslow
“Play is the highest form of research.” -Albert Einstein
“Play is often talked about as if it were a relief from serious learning. But for children, play is serious learning.” -Mr. RogersWhat sets our program apart of others is the work we do focusing on supporting all of our students to develop a strong sense of self. Social and emotional learning is the heart of our campus and the foundation for all of our learning.
I look forward to building strong relationships with your family as part of our Lillie community. Our school is here to support and serve you and your child. I look forward to a fabulous year!
Sincerely,
