My name is Samantha Hiett (Hiett pronounced Hyatt, like the hotel chain), and I am thrilled to be Southridge Elementary's newest kindergarten teacher! I graduated from the University of Florida in 2002 with a Bachelors of Arts degree in English with a minor in philosophy. In August 2022, I went back to school to pursue my teacher's certification and masters in education from the University of North Texas. Prior to joining the Southridge Elementary team, I most recently worked for Coppell ISD. I primarily worked with Pre-K students in both special education and general Pre-K. 

I have been married to my husband for 17 years and we have two wonderful sons. My oldest is in 8th grade, and my youngest is in 4rth grade. In my free time I love to spend time with my family, travel, try new restaurants, and read a good book.
