Camey Elementary

In 2024-2025, LISD will serve only eligible four-year-old students in both half-day and full-day state-funded pre-kindergarten classes. Full-day classes will be at a limited number of campuses. Four-year-old students who qualify are guaranteed a spot in our pre-k half-day program, however free full-day pre-k is subject to campus availability.

Registration for 2024/2025 school year for Pre-Kindergarten will start April 2nd.

Students must qualify for free state-funded pre-kindergarten by one of the following criteria:

• learning English as a second language
• income
• homeless
• dependent of a member of the military on active duty, injured or killed while on active duty
• currently or has ever been in State of Texas foster care
• dependent of an individual who received the Star of Texas Award

-English as a second language- please contact the school to schedule language testing. You will need to fill out a Home Language Survey. Your registration will be “Pending” until testing can be completed:

-Income- if you receive SNAP, TAMIF, or Medicaid benefits, we will need a current SNAP, TAMIF, or Medicaid eligibility form. If you do not receive any of these benefits, we would need a current paycheck stub for April for all those in the household that receives income. Please fill out the Income Verification Form 

-Military-current DOD form

-Foster care forms

If you have a student already enrolled at one of our LISD schools please log into your existing Skyward account and “Add” student. You will begin the enrollment process for your new student.

If you are new to our district you can access the New Enrollment Registration at https://www.lisd.net/enroll.

You will be asked at this time to submit enrollment documents online.  We are asking that you upload the documents. If you do not have access to a scanner you can take a picture with your phone and upload a picture. Please make sure all documents are readable.

Documents needed include:

-Students Birth Certificate or passport 

-Students Social Security Card (if available)

-Students Immunization Record

-Parent state issued ID, Driver’s License, or Passport

-Proof of residency (Gas, Water, or Electric Bill) if you reside with a family member please go to your campus to complete the notary residency verification form. 

-Home Language Survey Form will need to be uploaded or emailed to the registrar along with documents needed to qualify (see above)
