National Elementary Honor Society

  • The National Elementary Honor Society at Camey was established in the Spring of 2010. The National Elementary Honor Society (NEHS) is a student organization that recognizes and promotes Scholarship, Responsibility, Leadership, and Service. In order to be invited to become a member of NEHS, Fourth and Fifth Grade students need to have 92% or higher average on the four core subjects on their report card and they must maintain this for the entire school year. Not only do students need to exhibit academic excellence to be considered for membership, but they also need to show responsibility in the classroom, school and community. NEHS members will organize and participate in service projects throughout the year, as well as participate in school related activities. In addition, they must complete 2 service hours per month on their own throughout the year.
