Degrees and Certifications:

Marlee Hill

Mrs. Hill has been part of the Timber Creek family since the 2019-2020 school year when she joined the Pre-K team as a special education teacher. She loves getting to help our youngest students with their transition into school and partnering with their families in order to set them up for success. She especially loves the co-teaching model we have here at Timber Creek that allows children with disabilities and those without disabilities to learn from each other as they play and talk together.

Mrs. Hill graduated from Baylor University with a Bachelor’s degree in social work. Her social work internship was in a school mentoring at-risk middle schoolers, which sparked a greater interest in working in public education. Throughout college, she also worked at a summer camp for children and teenagers with special needs and discovered a passion for working with that population. A desire to combine these interests and skills led her to become a special education paraprofessional after graduation, and then to pursue an alternative certification to teach. This summer, Mrs. Hill started working on her Master’s degree in Special Education at the University of North Texas.

Mrs. Hill recently celebrated her 2nd anniversary with her husband Aaron, who also works in education as a life skills paraprofessional at Guyer High School in Denton ISD. In their free time, they enjoy playing games, cooking and baking, and exploring coffee shops in the area.
