Mrs. Kristin Anders

Hello Hebron Valley Families,

My name is Kristin Anders and I am so excited to be back at LISD!  This will be my 10th year of teaching. I started my career at Bluebonnet Elementary as a Resource teacher for K-5th grade. I have taught as a Title 1 Reading teacher in the Seattle area and most recently in Carrollton as a Learning Lab teacher at a charter school for K-8th grade.

I received my bachelor’s degree from Texas Christian University, and I am currently working on a dual master’s program through Dallas Baptist University and the June Shelton School for my CALT (Certified Academic Language Therapist). Becoming a Dyslexia Therapist taps into my core passion of reaching struggling readers and helping them achieve new levels of success.

My husband David and I, will celebrate our 20th anniversary this fall!  We have two amazing daughters, Allison, a sophomore at Hebron, and Noelle, an 8th grader at Arbor Creek.  We also have two adorable puppies, Baxter and Milo.

When I am not teaching, I am usually driving my girls to their activities at Hebron or Arbor Creek.  But when we settle down as a family, we love to play games and cheer for our favorite NFL teams: the Cowboys, Chiefs and Seahawks. In my free time I enjoy sewing, running, reading, gardening and occasionally binge watching Netflix.
