My name is Katherine Buckley.  I am currently teaching Kindergarten, but have taught Pre-K, Fourth, and all levels of high school English and Reading since my graduation from Texas A&M in 1993.  While at A&M, I earned a B.A. in English Language Arts and minored in Reading while concurrently completing all my education coursework.  I was also blessed to meet my husband during my time at A&M.  We were married Labor day weekend in 1994 and count it a great gift to have had over 20 years of life together.  We spent a few years in North Dallas as we began our careers before building our home here in Stewart’s Peninsula in 1998.  Since then, we have had the joy of raising two wonderful children.  My family is my greatest earthly gift and I couldn’t be prouder of Terry, Samuel and Rebekah.

Children are an amazing gift!  It is a great privilege to work with each and every child that comes to my class.  They are each a precious blessing and a great joy to see grow and develop throughout the year.  I have a passion for working to make their first school experience a positive one for both students and parents. By fostering a partnership with parents in their child’s educational journey, great things can happen in a child’s academic development.
