I am a professional artist, art conservationist and I am passionate about teaching my little’s.
I was born in Dallas, Texas but raised in California until the age of six then in East Texas. I graduated from Texas A&M University and studied under resident artist in the downtown Dallas arts district. My husband and I live in his now my hometown of The Colony, TX with our two Siamese cats. I love to paint, travel, cook, walk and spend time with my family.
My philosophy is that art enables students to trust themselves, their ideas and explore what is possible. Art concepts can be taught bit art itself is subjective, a question mark. The answers to many emotional as educational questions are found in the practice of creating art. I strive to validate that art is a whole-brain effort.
My role as a teacher and practicing artist is to affect and inspire. to encourage curiosity that inspires learning, creativity, and growth. What I want is for my students to be the best version of themselves while instilling a sense of personal drive, an appreciation for the arts that support their ability to make educational connections to other disciplines and promoting emotional well-being, as well as the ability to express a personal aesthetic.
