The following links and resources will provide you information about career choices. If you have any questions, please see your counselor.
Articulated Courses: FMHS offers many courses that prepare students for certifications and careers after graduating from high school. In addition, many of these courses can be applied as college credit at local community colleges. Articulated courses are determined by an agreement between high school and community college, college, or technical schools. This agreement eliminates duplication of course work when a student is pursuing a sequential course of study. A list of current articulated courses can be found in the counseling office.
*The student must file an application to the post secondary institution in order to receive college credit for articulated courses.
Dale Jackson Career Center: One of the premier career and technology centers in the state of Texas. Whether or not college is in their future, high schools students from LISD may enroll at the Career Center and learn the skills necessary to be competitive in the job market of the 21st century. See your counselor if you want to enroll in any of these amazing courses!Career Center East: Career Center East gives Lewisville ISD a state-of-the-art career training facility where students can find ways to apply what they have learned throughout their high school education. FMHS students will attend DJCC unless the course is only offered at CCE.
