Principal's Message
-
Dear Bluebonnet Families,
I would like to personally welcome you to the Bluebonnet community. Bluebonnet Elementary opened its doors in 2000. From the beginning, Bluebonnet Elementary has developed an outstanding tradition of providing its students with engaging, meaningful, and innovative learning experiences, while at the same time, creating a safe and welcoming learning environment where all students and families belong. The Bluebonnet staff is committed to building a partnership with you throughout your child’s education, in order for all of our students to thrive.
On a personal note, this is my twelfth year as principal at Bluebonnet. Prior to being named principal, I was the assistant principal at Bluebonnet for the 2012-2013 school year, the assistant principal at Castle Hills ES (LISD) for five years, and in Pilot Point ISD for two years. The first seven years of my educational career was spent in Garland ISD as a teacher (grades two, five, and five years in fourth). My husband, Curt, and I will celebrate our fifteenth wedding anniversary in November. We are thankful to be a part of the Bluebonnet community.
Whether you are new or returning to Bluebonnet, we want to welcome you to our Bluebonnet Elementary family! We pride ourselves at Bluebonnet on the meaningful and lasting partnerships we have developed with our families and our community members. You are all integral parts of our success! There are many opportunities for you to volunteer at Bluebonnet, whether through PTA and/or throughout the campus (classroom, library, music, art, P.E., etc.), and we welcome you as a partner in the learning. I am confident you will find your place at Bluebonnet.
Our administrative team, Marlene Price (Assistant Principal) and I have an open-door policy, and we are always available to assist you with any questions, concerns, and/or feedback you may have. It is my desire to provide an excellent school experience for you and your family. I’m looking forward to partnering with you for an outstanding school year!
Sincerely,
Lana D. Fisher
Principal
