• ORAL LANGUAGE PROFICIENCY EVALUATION: In order to determine student's eligibility for Bilingual or ESL, the district is required to administer an oral Language Proficiency Test to students whose home language is other than English.  Students may be evaluated at their home campus or by appointment at the Second Language Acquistion and Instruction (SLAI) office.

    TELPAS: Texas Education Agency (TEA) designed the Texas English Language Proficiency Assessment System (TELPAS) to assess the progress that limited English proficient (LEP) students make in learning the English language.
