• General Visitors: Parents and others are welcome to visit District schools. An appointment must be made to see a teacher so as not to take them out of the classroom. For the safety of those within the school and to avoid disruption of instructional time, all visitors must first report to the Principal's office, present state approved ID, sign in, then receive then display visitor's dated tag while on campus. Parent observations are limited to 45 minutes for each class per each nine-week grading period. All visitors must be escorted to and from campus destinations. Upon leaving visitors must sign out and return the visitor's tag. Visitors generally should use only the front door of the building for arrival and departure. Each visitor's presence in the building shall be appropriately documented. Visits to individual classrooms during instructional time are permitted only with approval of the principal and teacher. The visit's duration or frequency must not interfere with the delivery of instruction or disrupt the normal school environment.

Due to the crowded conditions, students may not bring friends or relatives to classes with them. Other visitors are permitted to come directly to the office and state their business. Staff members and students should report anyone who cannot be identified as having permission to be on campus to the principal. These persons will be considered trespassing and may be prosecuted.

Visitors Participating in Special Programs for Students: On High School Career Day the District invites representatives from colleges and universities and other higher education institutions, prospective employers, and military recruiters to present information to interested students.

Special Note: In most cases, former students are not allowed to visit their former teacher during regular school hours. They may make appointments before or after school hours.
