A Note from Coach Wickes -
Physical Education at Independence, includes a number of fun age-appropriate activities to strengthen coordination and skills to set the stage for an active and healthy lifestyle for our students. The sequential teaching of these skills enables each child to progress at his/her own pace, while exploring the application of these skills to various sports, recreational activities and lifelong health and wellness habits. Please help your child prepare for PE, by sending them in Tennis shoes (no flip flops, boots, sandals, etc) and comfortable “moveable” clothes (no dresses or skits, loose or too tight clothing), on days they have pe. When students are prepared, it helps minimize injuries and increase activity fun!
