Welcome!  I am Mrs. DeGroot, counselor with last names L-Z.  This is my eleventh year in education, and my passion for helping others grows each year.  I am originally from San Antonio, and five years ago migrated north to the DFW area.  I enjoy the outdoors, being active, and Mexican food!

As your child's school counselor, my goal is to build a safe, trusting, and welcoming environment to promote academic and social/emotional growth while working in collaboration with parents/guardians, teachers, and other staff.  Each day is a new experience, and I look forward to working your child this school year!!
