Each student shall be equipped with the technical, academic, human relations, and life-long learning skills necessary to adapt in a changing economy and to compete in the global marketplace.
Serving approximately 13,000 students district-wide per school year, the Career & Technical Education courses that Lewisville ISD offers at the high school campuses and secondary campuses give students a rich learning experience grounded in real-world applications and settings.

The goal of Career and Technical Education (CTE) in Lewisville ISD is to provide students with real-world experiences and hands-on training to help them begin identifying possible career choices. Some of our Career Center students will earn an Industry-Based Certification and then go straight into the industry after graduating high school. Other students may take engineering or health science courses, which is a great way to build a skill-set foundation they can transfer into a traditional university. The great thing about our Career Centers and our main campus Programs of Study, in general, is there is truly an opportunity for all students, regardless of their potential career path.
