What is yoga and why should people practice it? Who should practice yoga?
Yoga is for EVERYONE and every body shape and size. Yoga is so many things and benefits us in so many ways. I could write a book about all the amazing ways you can use yoga in your life! I would say, personally for me and what I teach, is the time you set aside to check in with yourself. We all rush around marking things off our to-do lists and rarely take the time to be still, process, and reflect on what's going on around and inside us. Yoga is a practice of releasing tension, focusing on self love, and being in the moment. All the physical benefits are a bonus like: building strength, retaining balance, lowering blood pressure, increased flexibility, improved respiration, energy and vitality, maintaining a balanced metabolism, weight reduction, cardio and circulatory health, improved athletic performance, and protection from injury. I like to think of it as working the body from the inside out!
