My name is Karen Wise and I am the Literacy Dyslexia Interventionist here at Memorial.  I am on my 18^th year of teaching, this being my 10^th year with LISD.   I have taught 2^nd and 3^rd grade and my current position. I have a BA degree from Texas Woman’s University and a Masters of Arts in Teaching from Louisiana College.  I have a wonderful husband of 29 years, a daughter and son-in-law that are also teachers, and a son attending college.  In addition, I have recently become a grandma to a beautiful girl!  My favorite thing to do when not at school is spending time with family, bike riding and going on a cruise ship.
