Marisa Norman

This is Marisa Norman’s third year at Timber Creek Elementary as a Dyslexia Interventionist.  Mrs. Norman is a graduate of Oklahoma State University (Go Pokes!). During her time at OSU she received her undergraduate degree in Elementary Education, and  also her Master’s degree in Teaching, Learning, and Leadership with an emphasis in Reading/Literacy. Before coming to LISD, Mrs. Norman taught 3rd grade for three years in Stillwater, Oklahoma, where she found a passion for teaching reading.

Mrs. Norman  is passionate about helping students become the strong and confident readers they are. She does this by building strong relationships with students and helping them reach their full potential by integrating a variety of instructional strategies to help students feel more comfortable in their learning environment.

Outside of school, Mrs. Norman  loves to hang out with her husband, family, friends, and her weenie dog Zax. Her hobbies include sewing/quilting, watching movies, baking, and traveling the world with her husband, Nick.

Mrs. Norman loves being a Timber Creek tiger, and cannot wait for a great year!

If you would like to know more about Mrs. Norman, please feel free to reach out to her in person or by email.
