Degrees and Certifications:
Mrs. Brenda Small
Ms. Small is excited to be starting her 19th year of teaching in LISD, and she is proud to say that she has been a Timber Creek Tiger for all her years of being an educator in Texas. Ms. Small has also taught in New Mexico and in Maryland, where she earned her teaching degree at the University of Maryland. Collectively, she has taught school at the elementary intermediate level for over 23 years.
Thanks to her military family background, Ms. Small has enjoyed living in several states. Ms. Small was born in San Antonio, but spent her childhood and young adult life in Alaska where she lived in the little town of North Pole. Alaska stays in her heart always, but after plenty of military moves she came home to be with her extended family right here in Flower Mound. She has three grown children, two precious grandons, and another little grandsugar on the way! She feels blessed to have her family around her and to have a sweetie named Rob who she shares her life with.
One of her greatest joys is being part of the Timber Creek family. For her, nothing can be better than working with such a loving, professional faculty, and the students and families win her heart over every year. Her goal is to empower her learners and inspire discoveries in the classroom. She believes that all students can be successful and it is a privilege to her to guide and support their learning. If you would like to know more about Ms. Small, she welcomes you to reach out to her any time!
