Ms. Fehlis will be starting her 4th year of teaching here at Timber Creek Elementary. She was born in Louisville, Kentucky and moved to Flower Mound, Texas at the age of 5.  Ms. Fehlis grew up in Flower Mound and attended schools in LISD from 1st-12th grade. 

She values building relationships with students and ensuring they feel safe, supported, and cared for. She fell in love with Timber Creek because of how quickly it felt like a family. All of the Timber Creek Tigers have shown nothing but love and support. Timber Creek Elementary feels like a home away from home in which she aspires for her students to also feel in her classroom. 

Ms. Fehlis was a swim teacher at Emler Swim School here in Flower Mound for 2 years while attending community college at NCTC. After getting her Associates Degree in Fine Arts, she furthered her education and received a Bachelors of Science in Education at Texas State University in May of 2021. While attending Texas State, she interned with pre-k, kinder, and 1st grade as well as student taught 4th/5th grade Math and Science. She received her ESL (English as a Second Language) and STR (Science of Teaching Reading) certifications while pursuing her education. 

Ms. Fehlis has always known she wanted to be a teacher and is thrilled to continue with her dream job! She is so excited to meet all of her new students and build connections with each and every one.
