Hello! My name is Jessie Downs and this is my first year at Creekside! It is also my first year as a librarian. I am so excited to begin this journey!

Before coming to Creekside I worked as a middle school theatre teacher for eight years. I spent the last six years working at Huffines Middle School, I love being part of the Long Maroon Line. 

I graduated from the University of Oklahoma with a BFA in Acting, I intended to become an actress. I quickly realized that wasn't the right path for me, and began working on my teaching certification at the University of North Texas. While I worked as a theatre teacher I worked on my Masters in Library Science at the University of North Texas. After several years I graduated in May 2020. 

I'm so excited for all the adventures we are going to have this year!
