I grew up in Fort Walton Beach, Florida. I moved to the DFW area in 1998. I am happily married with one son. I have been teaching in LISD for 25 years. My first seven years were spent at Lakeland Elementary in Lewisville, Texas. I taught 5th grade at the beginning of my career and then moved to third grade.  I have been at Hicks since it opened in 2004. When I am not teaching I enjoy spending time with my family, traveling to new places, shopping, going to concerts, watching movies, reading, going to sporting events, and watching my son play lacrosse.
