Hello Hicks Families! 

It is my immense pleasure to serve as your Assistant Principal. Before becoming an assistant principal, I taught Honors Chemistry at Braswell High School in Denton ISD and English-Spanish Biology at Waco High School in Waco ISD. I am still a scientist at heart, having completed my National Geographic Educator certificate. I also come with a background in public health research as a CDC Undergraduate Public Health Scholar at the University of Michigan. I received my Bachelor's degree in Biology from the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor and my Master's of Education from the University of Texas at Arlington in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies. 

My wife Natalie and I have two sons, ages 3 and 9 months. We also add to the energy with our dog and cat. We love being together as a family and love being active. In our free time, we enjoy being outdoors, reading, cheering on our favorite sports teams, and traveling as much as we can.

I am proud to be a part of the long-standing tradition of excellence here at Hicks and am excited to partner with you in preparing your students to become lifelong leaders and learners. My deep passion in education is ensuring that all students have access to an excellent education and an environment where they can grow and thrive.
