Brittany Vaughn

Meet Mrs. Brittany H. Vaughn, a proud product of Lewisville ISD with an unwavering passion for Art Education. Growing up in Flower Mound, Texas, her journey began at Forest Vista Elementary, where she discovered her love for art and all things creative, despite early challenges with dyslexia. Supported by her family and inspired by her LISD educators, Mrs. Vaughn pursued her dreams to become the first in her family to attend college. She graduated from UNT with a Bachelor's Degree in Visual Arts and Education in 2016, embodying the values of resilience and perseverance instilled by her hometown district.

Returning to Forest Vista Elementary in 2017, Mrs. Vaughn spent the past seven years as an educator, passionately crafting personalized and memorable projects that go beyond teaching art techniques. She believes in nurturing each child's potential through creativity, using art as a medium for personal growth and expression. As an active member of the Elementary Art Advocacy Committee, she advocates for the importance of visual arts education within the district. By building strong personal connections and tailoring her curriculum to meet the individual needs of each of her students, Mrs. Vaughn empowers young minds to explore, create, and discover their unique paths in life beyond the school, ensuring that every child's journey is enriched with authentic creative expression, problem-solving, and personal growth.

Mrs. Vaughn currently resides in Highland Village with her husband Taylor and fur babies—Juno Mars and Wiskey Vaughn Wiskers. She is thrilled to embark on a new journey at Timber Creek Elementary, where she looks forward to building a new HeARTful family.
