Ms. Catherine Zane has been a proud Timber Creek Tiger for the last 16 years. She has taught 4th grade, 2nd grade, Pre-K, and also has worked with all grade levels as a Resource/Inclusion paraprofessional.  Ms. Zane was honored as TCE's Teacher of the Year (2013 – 2014), and was one of five finalists for District Teacher of the Year. Prior to moving to Texas, this Jersey girl was a special education consultant for both public and private schools throughout the Garden State.

Ms. Zane earned her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology/Social Science Interdisciplinary from Stony Brook University, and a Master of Arts in Teaching from Texas Woman’s University. She loves to read, shop, eat (dessert - yum!) and exercise (sometimes!). Ms. Zane also enjoys card games, puzzles  and board games - Rummikub is one of her all-time favorites!  

Ms. Zane has been blessed with two daughters who make her life happy and bright! Both are proud LISD graduates embarking on successful careers in nursing and forensic psychology.
