Robin Thompson

Ms. Thompson is so excited to start her 18th year of teaching at Timber Creek Elementary! She taught 4th grade for four years before landing in Kindergarten. She always says she has the best two jobs in the world; being a mom and a kindergarten teacher! She LOVES her job and the relationships she builds with her students. She believes the academic and social skills children learn in kindergarten can set the foundation for a successful life. If you peek into her classroom, you might see dancing, singing and a Rock, Paper, Scissors Tournament!

Ms. Thompson grew up in Las Cruces, New Mexico, the middle child of three girls. She moved to Flower Mound after graduating high school and started a utility construction company with her husband. Ms. Thompson was often in a ditch with a shovel (can you believe that!) or in the office bidding on new jobs. She later moved to Baton Rouge to work for an engineering company and her beautiful child, August was born. In 2002, she moved back to Flower Mound to live closer to her family and decided to go back to school!

In 2007, Ms. Thompson graduated with honors from Texas Woman’s University with a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education. She was so excited to interview for a teaching job at Timber Creek, she wore two different black shoes to the interview! She does not think anyone noticed.

Ms. Thompson enjoys watching sports being outdoors with her crazy dogs Parker and Bean and playing games with her family. She loves to travel with friends and family. She has been to many baseball stadiums, National Parks and Greece.
