Dr. Kimberly Kinnaird

Dr. Kinnaird is the librarian at Shadow Ridge Middle School. She is about to start her 11th year as a Shadow Ridge Panther and loves working with middle school students to help them find great books to read and assist with their technology and research needs. Dr. Kinnaird also enjoys leading student clubs, including Battle of the Books, chess, and various computer coding and makerspace activities. There is no place she would rather work than in the SRMS library!

Dr. Kinnaird has worked as an elementary classroom teacher, middle school librarian, and college professor. She is active in both the Texas Library Association and the American Library Association, presenting and volunteering at the local, state, and national levels. In addition to working at Shadow Ridge, Dr. Kinnaird currently teaches part time at Sam Houston State University in the Department of Library Science and Technology. She enjoys helping classroom teachers realize their dream of becoming school librarians.
