    2024-2025

    Parent – Student – School Compact

     

    To achieve the goals set out for our school by the Building Leadership Team. The parents, students and school must be in agreement about the responsibilities of each of the integral parts of the learning process.

     

    As a student, I will be responsible for:

    1. Showing respect to and cooperating with all adults at Griffin Middle School.
    2. Completing all assignments to the best of my ability, being in class on time and giving my best effort in all I do.
    3. Showing respect for all peers and property, including the right of others to learn without disruption.
    4. Complying with the rules as stated in the Student Code of Conduct.
    5. Meeting or exceeding the 90% attendance record.
    6. Attending all required tutorials, detentions, and other interventions.

    As a teacher, I will be responsible for:

    1. Providing instruction (as designed for each learning pathway) in a way that will motivate, engage, and encourage students.
    2. Providing a safe and positive atmosphere for learning.
    3. Modeling the character traits, I expect from students.
    4. Notifying parents of academic and behavioral concerns in a timely manner.
    5. Updating grades in a timely manner.
    6. Providing lessons and periodic check-ins on social and emotional well-being.

    As a parent, I will be responsible for:

    1. Communicating the importance of education to my child.
    2. Taking an active role in school events as I am able.
    3. Helping my child in any way possible to meet his/her academic responsibilities.
    4. Notifying the staff of any concerns or problems that may affect school performance, such as academics, social and/or emotional issues.
    5. Ensuring that my child meets the 90% attendance requirements.
    6. Reinforcing the importance of following district and campus policies and procedures including tutoring; detentions; intervention groups, etc.
