Welcome to Forestwood Middle School - home of the Falcons!
Forestwood Middle School is a 6th – 8th grade STEM Academy in the Lewisville Independent School District, feeding into Flower Mound High School. Our feeder schools include all students from Forest Vista, Donald and Garden Ridge Elementary Schools. We are very proud of our well-established tradition of excellence beginning in 1992 when our school first opened.
Forestwood currently houses 940 students, sixty classrooms, eighty staff members, six science labs, and a very up-to-date and well-stocked library. We are proud to be an LISD 1:X campus which allows each of our students to carry their own personal iPad. Our grade-level teams include all core academic area instructors supplemented by Special Education and ESL programs, and they are enhanced by a full range of elective offerings. Forestwood students have the opportunity to enroll in two electives in addition to the core courses, English language arts, math, science, social studies and physical education. Electives include band, choir, orchestra, art, theatre arts, family and consumer science, STEM elective courses, outdoor trails and Spanish.
To support the academic success of our students, we offer a variety of opportunities to address academic issues and concerns through our Advisory program during the mid-afternoon of each Thursday and Friday. Of course, subject area teachers offer individual opportunities for support as needed. There are a full range of extracurricular programs including Student Council, National Junior Honor Society, Academic UIL, Rubik's Cube Club, Book Club and many more. Our athletic program offers football, volleyball, basketball, track, soccer, tennis, swimming, and cross country.
We welcome you to our school at any time to experience the Falcon Pride at Forestwood Middle School as we continue to make our educational mark on the Lewisville ISD community.
