I have been teaching Bilingual Elementary in the DFW area for 19 years. This will be my seventh at Hicks, all this time in 4th grade.

I grew up in northern Mexico. I went to college at Universidad de Monterrey (UDEM) in Monterrey, N.L., Mexico, and obtained a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science. 

My parents and two brothers live in Mission, TX. We love to go to South Padre Island every time we visit my family.

Teaching Spanish is what I love to do, and being a mom of two daughters is my life. In my free time, I like to decorate the house, go shopping, try a new recipe, ride the bicycle with the girls and watch movies. I have been married for 18 years to my wonderful husband, David. We have two daughters. Vanessa, going into 8th grade, and Grace, going to 5th at Castle Hills Elementary. Both play the piano, my oldest does Cross Country, and Grace plays in a hockey league and volleyball Club. You will find me during the weekend going to games all the time. Both of my girls keep me busy.

I'm very excited about starting this new school year!  Can't wait to meet you all!
