• LISD has elected to use the Edgenuity platform as a basis for the secondary virtual learning pathway. Students taking courses not available in Edgentuity will receive instruction through Canvas. Providing an asynchronous opportunity will allow students to complete many assignments at the daily pace that meets their needs. Due to our strong desire to remain aligned with the LISD curriculum design, many customizations have and are being made within the platform to support this alignment. Teachers will supplement as needed on a weekly basis. Parents should note that there is no substitute for an in-person experience for learners to engage in a robust experience, however, we believe with your partnership, we can make the most of this experience. TEA Guidelines require that students complete assignments one day at a time. Students may not work ahead or complete multiple assignments early in the week in order to be “off” the remainder of the week.

*ALL STUDENTS THAT ELECT TO ENTER OR EXIT THE VIRTUAL PATHWAY MUST DO SO ONLY AT THE 9 WEEKS MARK. THE DEADLINE FOR A CHANGE AFTER THE SECOND 9 WEEKS WILL OCCUR THE FIRST WEEK OF DECEMBER IN ORDER TO APPROPRIATELY STAFF AND PREPARE FOR THE THIRD 9 WEEKS.
