Heather Gronneberg

Mrs. Heather Gronneberg, referred to as Mrs. G by her students, has been the Library Media Specialist at Timber Creek Elementary School since the 2019-2020 school year.

Mrs. Gronneberg shapes her work as a Library Media Specialist with two mission statements, a personal one and a professional one:

  1. Be true. Be you. Put love in what you do.
  2. Use stories, information, and technology to support and enhance individual and whole group learning experiences for both students and staff members.

She feels incredibly lucky to have secured a position within a public school where educators see and help develop the leader in every student. She is beyond proud and excited to call herself a Timber Creek Tiger.

Prior to becoming a Library Media Specialist and working at Timber Creek Elementary School, Mrs. Gronneberg worked for 11 years as a high school English teacher at Grain Valley High School and Lee’s Summit West High School in the Kansas City, Missouri area. In addition to her teaching duties, Heather Gronneberg presented at several state and regional education conferences concerning best grading practices and the writer's workshop model. She also formed and coached a nationally recognized, award winning color guard program at Grain Valley High School. She attended Missouri State University where she received her BS in English Education as well as the University of Central Missouri where she earned her Master’s degree in Library and Information Services.

Mrs. Gronneberg and her family relocated to Flower Mound, Texas specifically for the Lewisville Independent School District (LISD). Her husband, David, works as an Assistant Band Director in the Flower Mound cluster. Her daughter, Lena, attends school within the district as well. They feel incredibly lucky to have the pleasure of working and learning within LISD.
