I was born and raised in Wheaton, Illinois and went to Illinois State University. This will be my 23rd year of teaching, with many of those years being a 4th grade teacher, 1 year in middle school as an 8th grade teacher, and 5 years as a Technology Teacher. This is my 7th year at Tom Hicks and my 2nd year in STEM.

When I am not at work, you can find me spending time with my family, on the lake, at a child's sporting event, shopping, working out or reading a book. I have been married to my wonderful husband for 16 years and we have two children, Byron (15 years old) and Bennett (13 years old) and our dog, Stella.

A few fun facts about me are:

* I have run the Boston Marathon 2 times, Chicago Marathon once! And I have started running again with my son who is a Hebron XC runner.

* I am a die hard Chicago Bears fan.

* I am a fitness fanatic.

* I love to be outside, especially at the lake on our boat.
