Welcome to Old Settlers Elementary, where STARS shine bright! My name is Traci Logue and I am thrilled to serve as your Assistant Principal. I have served as the AP here since 2014. Prior to that, I spent 15 years as a classroom teacher in grades 2, 3, 4, and 5. I am also the coordinator for state and local testing here on campus, as well as for the RTI and 504 programs. I do a little bit of everything and am ready to assist you in any way that I can!
Our campus enjoys a highly successful and thriving academic program, with lots of positive reinforcement and recognition to support our students as they develop academically, socially and emotionally. The OSE Student and Teacher Core Values guide everything we do, and you will see them on posters in our classrooms and common areas. We also invite you to read our OSE Pledge, which our students learn and refer back to throughout the year. These pieces help bind our community and guide our actions.
Speaking of community, our Old Settlers PTA is made up of many dedicated parents & community members who help support our staff and students all year. This includes our Watch Dogs partnership, annual STARfest, movie nights, skate nights, and various assemblies and events throughout the year designed especially for our kids and their caregivers. We encourage you to join our active PTA, attend the meetings, and get involved! This is a great way to engage with our community and support our school.
I look forward to partnering with you throughout the year ahead.
