Rhonda Godbey is a Lewisville ISD Chief of Schools, a title she assumed in February 2020. She is responsible for providing support and leadership to Castle Hills, Coyote Ridge, Creekside, Donald, Flower Mound, Forest Vista, Garden Ridge, Hebron Valley, Homestead, Indian Creek, Lakeland, Old Settlers, Parkway, Polser, Rockbrook, Southridge, Timber Creek and Vickery elementary schools, as well as LISD’s Destination Imagination program.
Rhonda Godbey joined Lewisville ISD (LISD) in 1992 as an English teacher and basketball/track coach at Marcus High School. Prior to joining LISD, she served as an English Accelerated teacher in Lubbock ISD and a basketball/golf coach in Lamesa ISD.
After working at Marcus High School for 10 years as a teacher, coach and later an Assistant Principal, she worked in LISD’s Human Resource Services department for nine years with staffing, recruiting, training and employee relations.
Prior to her current role as an Chief of Schools, she was the West Zone Leader of all the schools in the Flower Mound High School and Marcus High School feeder patterns, as well as the Juvenile Justice Alternative Education Program (JJAEP). In 2017, she was named LISD Assistant Chief of Schools.
Mrs. Godbey earned her bachelor’s degree from Texas Tech University, her Master’s degree from the University of North Texas and her Superintendent’s certification from the University of North Texas. She is currently pursuing her Doctorate degree. She and her husband, Scott, have two children who attend LISD schools.
