VIDEO: The Colony High School Welcomes Future Collegiate Academy Students

TCHS Collegiate Info Night Eighth-graders across Lewisville ISD receive college acceptance letters, visit TCHS campus.

March 9, 2018 —It’s been a busy spring for eighth-grade students throughout Lewisville ISD (LISD). While they are hard at work wrapping up their last semester of middle school, many have also been accepted into the second cohort of LISD’s Collegiate Academy at The Colony High School (TCHS).

For the next four years, these students have the opportunity to be both high schoolers at TCHS, as well as college students through the dual-credit partnership with Collin College.

To learn the news, students were surprised during their regular school day with acceptance letters into the program and an invitation to a special information night at TCHS.

On the evening of March 7, students were welcomed with open arms to their future campus. Current Collegiate Academy students assisted the eighth-graders by giving them tours of the campus, passing out program swag, sharing the electives offered at TCHS and answering any questions they may have.

See the surprise acceptance and information night in the video below, read more about the first cohort or see a recent trip they took to Collin College.
