Lewisville ISD welcomed back The Colony High School feeder schools in preparation for the 2022-23 school year by hosting a faculty and staff pep rally at The Colony High School auditorium on Tuesday.
Nine schools were in attendance, filling the majority of The Colony High School with faculty and staff wearing their school shirts. The TCHS feeder pattern includes: TCHS, Griffin MS, Lakeview MS, B.B. Owen ES, Memorial ES, Morningside ES, Peters Colony ES, Camey ES, Ethridge ES. District leadership and administration also filled the seats of TCHS auditorium.
Superintendent Dr. Lori Rapp and TCHS principal Dr. Tim Baxter addressed the crowd to get things started, followed by a performance by the TCHS Theatre Arts program. The award-winning program performed both a skit and song to honor their teachers.
TCHS Theatre Arts Director Dwyane Craig then introduced another round of special guests -- students of all ages from the TCHS feeder pattern. Students from each campus spoke about their favorite teacher and how that teacher had impacted them.
The TCHS feeder pattern principals finished things strong as they reiterated the IMPACT teachers have on their students. Each principal spoke on the characteristcs inherent to great educators, while encouraging attendees for the upcoming school year.

LISD’s first day of school for the 2022-23 school year is scheduled for Wednesday, August 10.
