LISD March 8 Board Meeting Recap

The Lewisville Independent School District Board of Trustees met for the regularly scheduled Board Meeting Monday, March 8.

PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE

The Board led the meeting in the Pledge of Allegiance and the Texas Pledge. 

CONSIDER ITEMS DISCUSSED IN CLOSED SESSION

The Board approved items discussed in Closed Session, recommended by administration.

SUPERINTENDENT UPDATE

LISD Superintendent Dr. Kevin Rogers shared the district's update regarding COVID, Inclement Weather and the 87th Legislative Session. 

RECOGNITIONS

Fifty-seven high school band, choir and orchestra students from across the district were recognized for earning the distinction as a 2021 Texas Music Educator Association All-State Musician. 

The Flower Mound High School Wind Symphony was recognized for being selected as the 2021 6-A TMEA Honor Band. 

Thirty-nine LISD schools were recognized for receiving the Counselors Reinforcing Excellence in Texas award. 

LISD Chief Technology Officer was recognized for being named the Consortium for School Networking's National Chief Technology Officer of the Year.
