HSVL Family Update | Sept. 11
We hope your week is wrapping up well! Here a few updates we would like to share with you regarding the virtual pathway.
Edgenuity Help Tickets
LISD & Edgenuity have set up a new technology ticketing system to address issues specifically related to Edgenuity. This should decrease wait times by separating general technology help tickets from Edgenuity requests. Teachers, students, and parents can create tickets at https://edgenuityhelp.lisd.net/.
Edgenuity Parent Portal
Starting next week, parents will be able to create an account in Edgenuity to help monitor their student’s progress in Edgenuity. On Monday, you will receive two emails - one automatically generated by Edgenuity when your parent portal is enabled, and one from us with the authentication code you’ll need to activate the parent portal and instructions on how to set up your account.
A word of caution when viewing grades in Edgenuity: Skyward remains our official gradebook of record in LISD, and not every assignment in Edgenuity may end up being taken for a grade by the teacher in Skyward. Additionally, some classes may have supplemental assignments in Canvas that are not present in Edgenuity. Always check Skyward for your student’s official grade. If you have a question about a grade in a particular class, contact the teacher of that class first.
