Independence Elementary Students Beta Test Video Game Design Course Games

Independence Elementary Kindergarteners were the Beta Testers for Mr. Carter's Video Game Design (VGD) Program students.  This is the 7th year that the elementary students have been able to play, review and critique video games created by the Video Game Design students.  The Career Center East students design and program an Edutainment Video Game.  The VGD students design an entertaining yet educational game for the kindergarten aged student.  The game must include Kindergarten level TEKS for math, science and/or english.  The kindergarteners get the opportunity to play the games and give the designers feedback on whether the game was fun and entertaining, too difficult or too easy and any other critiques they may have.  This year 30 kindergarteners participated and left with an excitement for learning through student produced video games.
