TECC-East Architecture Students Present Sustainability Projects to Industry Professionals

Budding architects receive valuable feedback on their designs.

Student presents to architectural professionals. The Career and Technical Education (CTE) programs in Lewisville ISD provide comprehensive learning experiences based on real-world applications. From animation to law enforcement, Technology,  Exploration and Career Center—East (TECC-E), one of LISD’s two career centers, offers a plethora of programs, including architecture.

Built on an “immersive, design-based” curriculum, the architecture program at TECC-E seeks to inspire future design professionals to change the world — for the better.
Architecture student presents project to professionals. On Dec. 11-12, TECC-E architecture students in Practicum Studio, 2nd-Year Studio and 1st-Year Studio, had the opportunity to present their environmental sustainability projects to a jury of industry professionals.

Students presented for approximately 30 minutes and fielded questions about their projects and ideas from the architectural professionals. In addition to asking questions, the professionals provided each student with feedback and constructive criticism, giving the students some food for thought for future designs.
