Record 41 Collegiate Academy at TCHS Students Graduate from Collin College
All have associate degree in hand before high school graduation.
A record 41 students from Lewisville ISD’s Collegiate Academy at The Colony High School have graduated from Collin College on April 29. The students all have an associate degree in hand before high school graduation.
“We are so proud of these students who started dual credit in 9th grade and have balanced their high school activities and college classes,” LISD Director of Counseling and Social Work Services Jill Adams said. “They are rewarded with a high school diploma and an associate degree. Wow!”
A ceremony was held April 29 at Collin College’s McKinney campus. LISD and TCHS administrators were present, along with the students’ families and friends.
The program has had 70 graduates to date. Approximately 400 students from all of LISD’s five feeder patterns are currently enrolled.
