June 20, 2019 — Lewisville ISD (LISD) announced June 20 the appointment of Amy Boughton as Hebron High School’s new principal.
Boughton currently serves as the principal at Griffin Middle School, a position she has held for three years. She joined the LISD family in 2007 to be an assistant principal at Marcus High School. Boughton began her educational career in 1999 as a social studies teacher and a varsity assistant volleyball and varsity soccer coach at Newman Smith High School in the Carrollton-Farmers Branch Independent School District. “It is an incredible honor to become the principal of Hebron High School,” Boughton said. “I am truly committed to upholding the traditions; celebrating our diverse community; and sustaining the tremendous success of the campus. I have immense hope for the future, and the wonderful campus relationships and community partnerships that will continue to grow.”
Boughton received a Bachelor of Science and Master of Education both from Texas Woman’s University. “I am a proud product of Lewisville ISD,” Boughton said. “I look forward to continuing my educational leadership with Hawk Pride. Go, Hawks!”
