Lewisville High School’s Cooper Named Lewisville Area Chamber of Commerce/Huffines Auto Dealership January Teacher of the Month

Cooper Teacher of Month Jan. 22, 2019 — Valerie Cooper of Lewisville High School has been selected as the Lewisville Area Chamber of Commerce/Huffines Auto Dealership-Lewisville January Teacher of the Month — the fifth honoree of the 2018-2019 school year.

Cooper is described as a totally dedicated teacher with a passion for students whose Business and Marketing program is second-to-none. Her desire for students to succeed is seen daily in interactions with them and through classroom preparation. Cooper brings lessons to life and makes the work tangible, including the successful INCubatoredu program.

“It’s an incredible honor to receive the Teacher of the Month award,” Cooper said. “I am proud to be a part of Lewisville ISD because of everything they have done for my students and program.”

Cooper accepted the award Jan. 22 at the Chamber’s partnership luncheon held at Courtyard by Marriott. Huffines Auto Dealership-Lewisville Business Relations Director Fred Whitfield and Chamber Board Vice Chair Ann Pape made the presentation. Cooper was joined at the luncheon by her husband, Jason, and LHS Principal Jeffrey Kajs.

Huffines Auto Dealership-Lewisville will present Cooper with her award on campus this month.
