LISD Marching Bands to Compete in UIL Region 2 Contest
LISD High School Marching Bands have been on the move this October, participating in various local marching band festivals and competitions of choice in addition to their regularly scheduled appearances at weekly varsity football games. All LISD marching band programs participate in annual UIL Marching Band competitions, with advancement opportunities earned at the Region and Area levels. State advancement opportunities may be earned biannually, depending upon school classification.
Fans and community members can enjoy performances by all five LISD programs this Saturday, October 15th at the UIL Region 2 Marching Contest to be held at the C. H. Collins Athletic Complex in Denton. Admission to the Region UIL Marching Contest is free and open to the public with general seating.

Hebron HS - @TheHebronBand on Twitter | Andy Sealy, Director – “Odyssey FM” – an epic voyage at sea taking place over the course of a day, with a retro fantasy feel best summed up by the phrase ‘Sailing the Radio Waves’
Lewisville HS - @LewisvilleBand on Twitter | Chris Meredith, Director – “Going Home - A Cardinal’s Journey”, a bird-lover’s delight following a cardinal’s journey from first flight through seasons of change and ultimately into a home of his own

Community members may also take in the LISD band and drill team performances during halftime of all regular season varsity football games. Additional performances may be scheduled by individual band programs through early November.
