Family Notice | Dec. 8
I think it is important to share information with you, even if it does not directly impact your child. We want to let you know we are aware of a threatening message posted to social media. Huffines administration and the Lewisville Police Department are currently investigating the situation. Students and staff are safe and are continuing on with their normal schedules. Out of an abundance of caution, additional security measures will be in place on campus today, Thursday, Dec. 9.
We are so grateful to the students and parents who reached out to our campus and law enforcement to report this situation. They did exactly what they were supposed to do, which is if you see something, say something.
I want to emphasize how important it is for students, parents and community members to reach out to the police or the campus when something suspicious is heard or seen. Parents, please stress to your child the severity of making threatening statements to anyone in any way. We always, ALWAYS take these situations seriously and investigate them fully.
Thank you for being our partner in the education of your children, and for your continued support of our campus.
