Election Day is May 7
Saturday, May 7th is election day, and on the ballot are candidates running for local offices such as school board trustees and town council. Also on the ballot are two proposed amendments to the Texas Constitution. Head to the polls this spring and make your voice heard - your vote matters!
Important Dates:
- April 20 at 6 p.m. | LISD School Board forum hosted by LISD Council of PTA’s in the LISD Boardroom
- April 25 - May 3 | Early Voting
- May 7 | Election Day
- May 24 | Primary Runoffs

Most voters in LISD will be required to vote in person. Avoid potentially long lines on Election Day by voting early. It is important to know there are eligibility requirements to vote by mail in Texas. The Secretary of State’s website includes information on who can request a ballot by mail along with important dates.
